In this chapter is described graphic interface and the work with the window of the line of the messaging system Of taurus. At each moment of time this window can reflect one of the active lines. For the discovery of lines use point Open Dialup Line of the menu System. Switching between the lines is achieved by a selection of the corresponding laying in the upper part of the window.

When the turn of signaling tests is empty (Buffer of the sending it is empty, or in it do not be present packets with the priority Crash or Direct), that messaging system awaits either the appearance of a signaling test or the entering bell. In this case in the upper part of the window, in panel Status, is derived communication Idle.

If the turn of signaling tests is not empty, then in the panel Status the window of the line of messaging system is derived the communication Waiting to dial, further follows the address of the knot, which at the given moment appears first in the turn. In the panel Timeout countdown to the beginning of signaling test is conducted.
At the end of the waiting time of signaling test, begin the collection of the number of the caused knot, inscription in the panel Status it changes on Calling + the number of the caused knot. In the panel Timeout countdown to the end of the expectation of connection begins. The expectation of connection occurs also with the answer of messaging system to the entering bell. If to the lapse of time of expectation connection did not occur, then system passes into the mode of the standby of the collection of the assembly following in the turn, or into the mode of the standby of bell.
After occurred connection and the successful exchange EMSI with the packets between the stations, begins strictly period of communication. The screen of the window of the line of messaging system changes: instead of the indicators of the activity of the modem it appears the information panel of the connected station, instead of panels Status and Timeout, appear two display control panels of the motion of transfer (above) and reception (below) of post packets and it is file. The type of the protocol of period of communication and the total quantity of errors for the session is written under the display control panels of the motion of the method/of transfer.
With the outgoing bell, first initializes the transmitting, and then the process of method. With the entering bell - on the contrary, first initializes the method of post packets and is file, and then the transfer. In the presence the file demands among the packets accepted, the demands are processed and the inquired files, if the same are found, they are transferred to the inquiring station.

Disconnection can occur for several reasons. Usually this occurs when neither to your nor joined station something to more transfer. In this case the successful completion of period of communication occurs. Furthermore, disconnection can occur as a result of the loss of the carrier frequency of the modem (NO CARRIER), either as a result of too great a quantity of errors or lowest possible drop in the speed of transmission. In such cases, the session is considered unsuccessful, and if for your system it was impossible to the end to transmit packets or files during this session, then Taurus will attempt to again transmit them with the following possibility. If from your station was transmitted the file demand, during fulfilling of which the session interrupted, then demand will be transmitted repeatedly. If your station simply assumed files or packets, then repeated signaling test to this knot will be formed. Nothing it undertakes with the unsuccessful completion of the entering session, Taurus. In any event with the successful or unsuccessful completion of session, the system converts to the state of the expectation of collection.
